Spring Maxi Dress Guide 2014

Last year I did a round up of spring time maxi dresses, and it's been one of my most popular blogs! An update seemed in order, especially given the abundance of MAG-freaking-NIFICENT dresses I've been seeing around zee web lately!

Flow This Way Dress

I love that this dress mixes neutrals and brights for you. 

And check out the cute crochet detail on the back!

Lower Haight Lady Dress

This bohemian-esque dress has ALL THE STRIPES and a crazy cage-style back.
I really like the "sea glass" colors of this dress.

Plethora of Panache Dress

Classic navy and white combo. The white lace detail on the arm area is slimming, and the lace on the lower portion of the dress is so pretty! It even has a cute keyhole in the back.

Woo Me with Whimsy Dress

This patchwork style dress brings out the country girl in me. The ruffly panel in the bodice area would also be pretty flattering for a small-chested lady such as myself!

Bon Vivant in Vegas Dress

Black and white is looking reeeeal good in this dress. 

I love that the chevrons vary in width towards the bottom.

Artisanal Arrangements Dress

This is one of my favorites because it's so simple, yet so pretty! 

And you all know that I'm a sucker for orchids.

Strappy M-Slit Dress

I love the colorful pattern of this dress, plus the slits that make it easier to walk in. Perfect for me because I like to walk REALLY FAST.

UM this floral dress is gorgeous. And dat back doe.

Patterned Maxi

Just give me a beach, some sun, and a coconut to sip out of, and I'll be ready to rock this dress.

Sleeveless Dress

This black hi-lo dress is so versatile - you could probably find a reason to wear it once a week from now till September.

Sparkle & Fade Open-Side Colorblock Maxi Dress

This one seems effortless and sporty, with cutouts in just the right place! There are other color options available - including a navy/grey one that I also liked.

VICTORIA'S SECRET

Chiffon Trim Maxi Dress

Heyooooo gypsy dress. This has a "beautiful rags" feel, doesn't it??

Knife Pleat Maxi

This super pleated, flowy dress comes in lots of colors, but I love this Aqua Frost the best.

Short Sleeve Maxi Dress

I adoooooore this dress!! It reminds me of mint chocolate Dippin' Dots, which isn't weird at all. As a bonus, it's on sale right now.

Holiday Dresses for Different Occasions!

A couple of months ago my good friends Abigail and Geoff asked me to be a part of their summer 2014 wedding. They're juuuust a couple of my all-time favorite people, who have been together for over 10 years now, so I was #SRSLY bursting with joy at the prospect of being part of their nuptials.

What does that thrilling news have to do with holiday dresses? WELL, thanks for asking. Abby's got a super exciting concept for her bridesmaids' dresses (which I won't divulge here, only because it's not my news to spill!), so I've been having a freaking BLAST scouring different websites for dresses with her theme in mind. As a bi-product of that bridesmaid dress search, I've been coming across some other amaaaaaazing dresses lately. Spring/Summer Maxi Dresses that I Want... Real Bad.

Last week DailyLook just busted out with a whole buttload of awesome maxi dresses. I think all three of these may have even come out on the same day! These dresses are so expensive for me to buy and have shipped to Canada.... but I want them so badly. UGH. Maybe you can do something with them:

Floral Watercolor Maxi Dress: 

I don't own anything like this at all, but I love the colors, the print, neckline, the cinched waist and the dual long-short layers.

.  also, gimme that clutch  .

Colorful Cutout Maxi Dress:

So many things. I love the lacy overlay on the top, the cutouts on the sides are cute and not over-the-top, and the print on the bottom is so bright and summery!

YEAH WE GET IT, YOU GET TO WEAR ALL THE CLOTHES.

Racerback Maxi Dress

While I kind of wish this was just solid on the bottom, instead of a sheer layer over a shorter one, I still love the color of this dress - like a minty kelly green. And the white banding around the top has kind of a sporty feel.

The song "Dress You Up In My Love" by Madonna just popped into my head but I swear I have no interest in dressing this model up in my love. I just like the dresses she got to rock on this particular day of her career. #JealzBellz. HASHTAGIWANTTHEMALL.
