A Few Good Things

The weather is warming and people are out in Vancouver, doin' they thannnng!

Every once in awhile, a small bird will land on my balcony, but it's rare that I have my camera beside me and can snap a picture:

After reading this blog about the "Japanese Dollar Store" last week, I was thrilled to find that there's a Daiso located one town over from me! I made a trip there on Sunday...

The Daiso in Richmond, BC

... And picked up three very awesome but very inexpensive boxes to store
my nail polish and nail supplies:

3 polka dot storage boxes from Daiso
.  top to bottom:  $2.00, $3.00, $3.50  .
Nail polishes organized into storage boxes
.  left to right: colored polishes, neutrals/glitters/top coats, nail tools  .
This funny idea for a meme popped into my head the other day, so I had to create it immediately.
I tweeted it to Nelly on St. Patrick's Day. So far he hasn't responded.

(If you didn't get that meme, you need to refresh your memory of this little gem.)

I finally stopped into The Kings Head restaurant/pub to try out their breakfast... It's right near my apartment but I'd never been there before!

.  breakfast. ain't nothing wrong with that  .
The moss on the trees around here is really beautiful...

And I never get sick of these city and mountain views!

    1. There are SO many cute boxes there of all different sizes - it was actually exactly what I went there for! The variety of box designs was a pleasant surprise - as was the low price of each of them. Boxes like this are probably 2-3x more expensive at a place like Michaels!

  3. I went to Daiso in Richmond recently for almost the exact same reason. I needed something for my lipsticks. Great store eh?

    1. Oh my gosh there were so many containers there that would have been perfect for lipsticks. I'm really very pleased that I was introduced to Daiso! I'll be going back for sure :)
