China Glaze's Recycle with Blue Glitter Tips

I've been feeling a little bit run down these last few days. Not "sick" exactly, just sort of achey and chilly. Also, there's been a really terrific mystery twitch happening in the middle of my forehead that's really been keeping things interesting... and has maybe been giving me a headache. I don't know what's going on with my body, but I think it needs a nap.

This morning I dropped David at the airport super freaking early because he's taking a mini trip to Massachusetts for the whole weekend. He'll be back on Monday night, so I have the apartment to myself for the next several days. And you know what that means. Disney movie marathon all weekend! No, seriously. Probably.

Anycrap - nails! I didn't know what to do on my nails this week, so this is a really spontaneous combination.



I used China Glaze's Recycle and layered it with a blue and silver glitter from Forever21's Love & Beauty line (which I featured here).


I tried to do a "glitter fade" effect by doing an initial light coat of glitter about halfway down my nail, and then going in with a heavier second coat on just the tips of my nails.

    This looks fantastic!! You did such a good job with the glitter fade! Have fun with your disney movie marathon. We're meeting friends for Lunch tomorrow and then probably just taking it easy!

    I think it came out very well, and does have a fade effect. Well done!
    As for fav Disney movie....hard to say. I adored Brave, but that's Pixar. Lion King and Aladdin came out when I was a pre-teen so those have a special place in my heart. Parts of Enchanted and Tangled I adore. Hrmmmm....

    Wonderful combination!
    As for favourite Disney movie, we start with the classics of Lion King, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin followed by everything Toy Story, Wall-E and Up. I guess those are Pixar...but I still consider them as Disney movies! Enjoy your weekend!

      Thanks Jayne! Those 3 classics are some of my absolute faaaavs :) I've still never seen Wall-E! I'm really behind on watching any of the new-ish Disney flicks (slash Pixar!)

    For an uninspired mani, this turned out awesome! Loving the grey and the blue glitter fade! And how was your Disney Weekend? Did you sing lots of songs? Was there twirling? I bet there was lots and lots of twirling. ;)

    I like a glitter ombre too! It's pretty but also less annoying to take off haha. I like the color combination you made.

    Gray is one of my all-time favorite mani colors, and I totally love how the blue looks over it! I will have to give this a try! I have sooo many Disney faves... Tangled, Frozen, Monsters Inc., Nemo, Beauty & the Beast... to name just a few. :)
