I wanted an accent nail with lots of polka dots in a specific bright-pastel color scheme, and these polishes were the perfect colors for it!
The pale mint pastel is Mint Sorbet by Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear, the pink is Tip Toe Pink by Milani, the darker green is Mint Apple by Sinful Colors and the white is Snow Me White by Sinful Colors.
I used 3 coats of Mint Apple on my pinky, pointer and thumb nails, 2 coats of Snow Me White on my ring finger, and 3 coats of Tip toe Pink on my middle finger. Then, using both ends of my double-ended dotting tool and all 3 colored polishes, I placed random, scattered dots atop my ring finger.
If you couldn't tell, I've become pretty into the two-accent-nail look. Decisions be damned - use alllll the polishessss!
In case you wondered, my gum seems to be healing suspiciously well from Monday's wisdom tooth extraction. I've barely needed to take any pain meds at all, and was able to start working out again today. There's still a slight chipmunkesque quality to my right cheek, but it's not the most noticeable thing in the world. However, the antibiotics I'm taking are going to put a damper on my weekend fun, as those are appppparently not to be mixed with alcohol.
On that note, what are you up to this weekend? I've got nothing on the agenda yet, but am always on the lookout for an activity or two!
Loooooove this friend! And yay for your gums healing well! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteCute, like I have said before perfection!
ReplyDeleteDamn those antibiotics keeping you from drinking!! ;) And I can't even believe that turquoise was Mint Apple!!! It looks prettier than I remember it. Seriously I love it here. It's in my melmer, I'm going to have to dig it out.
ReplyDeleteI looooove Mint Apple - it's such a beautiful shade of green, and the shimmer in it makes it extra special :)
DeleteThese colors look great together. I'm glad that having the wisdom teeth out went well.

ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for polka dots!! :)

ReplyDeleteGladly followed you with GFC and on Bloglovin', hope you can do same;) Let's keep in touch:)
Wish you a blessed day ahead!
So glad you liked these nails Alexandra!!
DeleteTrends be damned- do what you want! I love that you combined polishes and made two accent nails. Yay! And the polka dots (which look like bubbles to me) are fantastic. :D
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're healing swiftly and easily. Double yay! If it helps, we're not partying this weekend, either. I blew my energy yesterday, going to open houses. Today we see more houses and tomorrow I'm taking off work to- shocker- see more houses. No more fun until we buy a house, apparently. ;)
Pink and green is one of my most favorite color combo's ever!
ReplyDeleteI love it too - it's actually all over my bedroom!! <3
DeletePerfect spring mani - love the polka dots!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kimberlee! You can never go wrong with polka dots :)
DeleteLovely combo! And those polka dots are so cute :-)
ReplyDeleteMixing and matching colors is my favorite part of nail painting!
